Purpose of Your Job Position

The primary purpose of your job position is to prepare accurate and timely cost reports for assigned facilities.
As Senior Reimbursement Analyst, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. This position is responsible for the preparation of complex excel models and templates related to Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reporting and rate-setting. This position is a non-supervisory function. Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and databases to support Medicare and Medicaid Cost Report preparation and analysis.
Develop rate-setting models based on cost report and other related information and update those models on an as needed basis.
Use Advanced excel skills to identify areas of opportunity to automate and improve current processes to improve departmental efficiency.
Continually monitor changes in regulations and methodology to ensure assigned states receive appropriate payment for services rendered.
Represent the company during cost report audits as necessary.
Provide summary of results to department management on an as-needed basis.
Prepare accurate and timely cost reports for assigned facilities as needed.
Other duties as reasonably related and assigned.
Assist with various audits, including the annual financial audit and various government audits.

Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
BS/BA in Accounting or Finance; a business degree with a major in Accounting preferred.
Attends and participates in continuing educational programs.
- Four (4) years of Professional Accounting experience preferably in a health care environment.
Advanced Excel skills – Advanced Access skills and familiarity with Word and Outlook preferred
Advanced Knowledge of automated general ledger systems.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with others.
