Purpose of Your Job Position

The primary purpose of your job position is to supervise the daily activities of the Central Billing Office (CBO) for multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities and develop strategies to achieve the billing and cash collection goals of the company.

Job Functions

As Vice President of Revenue Cycle Central Billing Office Services, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. The Vice President is responsible for leading the Central Billing Office teams and developing strategies to ensure goals are achieved. This job description does not list all the duties of the job. Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide leadership and direction to the managers and teams within the Central Billing Offices (CBO) servicing Skilled Nursing Facilities in multiple states

  2. Develop strategies for accurate and timely billing, collection and cash posting of accounts receivable, including remaining current with new technology and revenue cycle innovations to improve results

  3. Establish systems and processes to achieve cash collection goals

  4. Identify root causes and develop solutions for payment delays and denials

  5. Ensure billing systems are designed to operate efficiently and accurately

  6. Ensure staff performance evaluations are occurring timely

  7. Partner with the customers Revenue Cycle leadership teams to improve processes

  8. Create an environment that rewards the team fairly for achieving established goals

  9. Supervise/manage/direct the selection, training, development, appraisal of personnel

  10. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

  11. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

  12. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.

  13. Must stay in compliance with all state, federal and government agencies, as well as Consulate’s Corporate Compliance Program.

Education/ Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent; or four years’ related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in Revenue Cycle Management, preferably in the Skilled Nursing industry in a multiple entity capacity

  • Working knowledge of Long Term Care billing systems, preferably in Point Click Care and SSI

  • Strong technology aptitude and excellent skills in MS Office applications required

Specific Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and the general public.

  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

  • Proficient personal computer skills to include electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet applications, graphics, etc.

  • Must be able to prioritize tasks.
