Purpose of Job Position

. The primary purpose of your job position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Executive Director, and/or the Director of Hospitality Services-Housekeeping, to ensure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. You are entrusted to provide innovative, responsible healthcare with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results.

Job Function

As Hospitality Services Technician I - Housekeeper , you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.Responsible for maintaining a clean and comfortable environment in the facility.No direct supervisory function.

Job Requirements

  • Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.

  • Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor no matter how minor they may be. (NOTE: Such occurrences must be reported on the shift in which they occur.)

  • Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.

  • Agree not to disclose resident’s protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Executive Director.

  • On a daily basis, clean all areas of the facility assigned.

  • Adhere to all facility sanitation, safety, and infection control procedures.

  • Report any maintenance problems noted during cleaning routine.

  • Keep equipment and carts clean.

  • Attend inservice training sessions, as assigned.

  • Participate in department/facility meeting, as required.

  • Maintain documentation, such as cleaning logs, as directed.

Education and Experience

  • Must possess, as a minimum, high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Two (2) years housekeeping experience in a medical facility preferred.
